Concerts of Interest

Sun, Sep 19, 4:00 pm, St. Marks Lutheran Church, Spokane

Gail Archer, an internationally recognized concert organist, lecturer and recording artist returns to Spokane on Sunday, September 19, 2010.  She will perform a solo organ concert of varied repertoire on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 316 E 24th Avenue in Spokane, beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Ms. Archer’s January 2009 Spokane concert was enthusiastically received and anticipation of her return visit has generated similar energy among the sponsoring organization, the Spokane Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.  She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in organ performance from the Manhattan School of Music and also earned an artist diploma from the Boston Conservatory.  Her home is New York City, where she serves as Chair of the Music Department at Barnard College, Columbia University; Director of the Young Artist Series at Central Synagogue; and most recently, she was appointed Professor of Organ at Manhattan School of Music.

A donation of $10 is suggested and a reception will follow the concert.
